Annual Pap Smears are now extinct

If your gynecologist is yet to inform you, an annual Pap smear is no longer required.

I decided to visit my gynecologist recently. Don’t misunderstand me, the OBYGYN is very fantastic but the pap smears are quite terrifying.

That is when I discovered that the pap smears are only required once every three years. The Medical powers that have determined to over-test women have decided to back down.

As stated by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Pap examination is required at an interval of three years between 21 and 65 years of age.

I’m not asking you to cancel the annual appointment with your Gynecologist. The number of times you meet with your doctor is strictly your choice and though the fact is that an annual breast examination is needed, it is vital to know that a swab is not required at every appointment.

Best wishes to everyone having a vagina.
